After the shuttle dropped us off the first thing I saw was just an arch of multi colored balloons. There was just a sea of purple shirts everywhere and huge signs saying who they were walking for or what their team name was. On the day of the walk it was super hot but everyone had a smile on their face and were enjoying themselves. Also in the downstairs there was a large banquet hall that had a foam pit as well.

There was a concession stand where popcorn machines were set up and rows of movie chairs. There was shops on either side of the street that sold different things. There was a 'street' where kids could ride scooters with a functional traffic light. When you went down the stairs it was like walking through a small village. There was an arts and crafts room,a music room, a gym, and so much more. Another room had a sand box filled with purple sand. Inside there are all of these different rooms.There was a room filled with a hammock swing and a ball pit. The facility where the walk took place is my absolute favorite. The main goal is to help individuals with special needs.
The Friendship Circle organization was something that my friend Martha had introduced me to a couple months ago. The walk was to raise fund and awareness about The Friendship Circle. It was something that I was excited about participating in since the event was brought to my attention. This last Sunday I participated in a 5K charity walk called 'Walk 4 Friendship'. They are just broken pieces trying to keep from falling No one speaks the truth for fear of the consequence. That wander from one dead room to another. They didn't even notice him curled on the floor His mind was filled with their laughter and giggles in between kisses. His words become lost to a soundless room.įor everywhere he looks he sees his wife. She dreams to disappear into the background. The ones that can see the cancer crawl across her skin. The ones that looked at the hair that falls away in clumps Loud crashes and bangs ring out from her ears That hides the noises that scream louder in his head. Yet every time her knee hits the ground she grimacesīiting her lip to keep from screaming out.
